We offer counselling within 1 week, sometimes sooner if required. This service is tailored to post-court support, operating as a bridge during the often lengthy waits for specialist counselling. It is not intended to replace the counselling services provided by organisations such as Rape Crisis, but rather to fill a critical gap that emerges when ISVA and statutory service support comes to an end at the close of a court case.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, confused or disconnected from yourself? Do you feel like you can't move on from your past?
Maybe you’re troubled by anxiety, always waiting for the next crisis. Perhaps you feel numb, disconnected, or shut down. You might be functioning on the outside, but inside it’s exhausting - it’s like your nervous system is always bracing for 'something bad' to happen.
Whether you’re coping with trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, or simply feeling “not like yourself,” you don’t have to go through it alone.
Referrals are received from Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs), barristers who may have concerns, and complainants directly. We share these experiences by approaching the relevant barristers or chambers with the feedback provided.
This process is not intended to be antagonistic; rather, it is focused on harm reduction within this area of practice. By raising concerns constructively, we aim to encourage reflection, improve professional standards, and promote greater understanding among those outside the legal system of the parameters and constraints of the adversarial process. Through this approach, we seek to help create a safer, more accountable, and more informed environment for all those involved.
Our organization continues to document cases where youth court proceedings have caused direct harm to complainants. We are dedicated to gathering these case studies to ensure these voices are heard. A recent example involved a 15-year-old being questioned on the length of her clothing, a practice that has been largely abandoned in adult courts. Building on our partnership with The Guardian regarding sexual violence sentencing, we are prioritizing this space as a core focus for 2027/2028.
