Building on our established work within the criminal courts, we have been selected to deliver a pilot court observation programme in the family courts. The programme operates strictly under the authority and oversight of the Magistrates’ command and in full compliance with all applicable judicial directions.
All observation activity is conducted within robust safeguarding and confidentiality frameworks. Observers are subject to clear protocols governing professional conduct, data protection, anonymity, and the handling of sensitive information, with particular regard to the protection of children, vulnerable adults, and parties to proceedings.
The programme is designed to respect the privacy of family court users and the integrity of proceedings at all times. No identifying information is recorded or shared, and any findings are reported in an anonymised, aggregated format. Judicial oversight is maintained throughout the pilot to ensure adherence
